Golden Sands (Zlatni Pyasatsi) is one of the pearls of the Bulgarian Black Sea coast, set among lovely beach resorts on the Northern coast. Recent construction of modern hotels and residential property has seen this longest-established area, with its wide golden beach, clear blue sea and lush wooded hills, develop rapidly into a highly popular resort. The modern developments along the 3.5 km long beach enjoy an average summer air temperature of 27-30o and water temperature of 25-28o, allowing a wide range of aquatic sports and a 100-berth marina. a casino, many bars, golf. Development of the resort continues apace to meet demand from increasing visitor numbers.

Albena, located in a picturesque and unspoilt area of the coast and famous for its flower gardens, is quieter and less developed than its southern neighbours but is busy from May till October. St.Constantine and Helena, just north-east from Varna, is the longest established resort (1948) and, despite rapid recent expansion, has preserved its character as a smaller holiday center. The resort’s small sandy beaches have their own beauty and the atmosphere is charming.
